The Guhring 968 series cut taps are perfect for tapping BSP (british standard pipe) blind holes, primarily in stainless steels with the capacity to also cut steels and non-ferrous materials. Its spiral flute design and thread length allows the tapping of blind holes with a cutting depth of 3x the tap diameter. Manufactured from HSS-E and steam tempered for excellent wear resistance and cutting performance, these taps are reliable for producing precise BSP threads in a range of materials.
